Retreat participants may arrive from 12pm onwards on the first day of the retreat. Organiser/chef may arrive earlier to setup. Checkout is 2pm, if you need to stay later you can choose this option when booking.
-
How many guests can be accommodated?
We have 21 beds. The breakdown of rooms can be viewed on The Space page. You can allocate the beds however you see fit. The main space can fit 15 yoga mats easily, more at a push.
-
What is included in the rate?
Exclusive use of the Lodge, and surrounding 20 acres of land. Firewood for the open fire. Heating (fair usage applies). Electricity. Linens & towels, Toilet Roll, Hand Soap, Kitchen cleaning supplies etc.
-
Can we get signal or wifi at Mucklagh?
No, we believe that a digital detox and an EMF-free zone is part of the joy of coming to Mucklagh. For those who just can’t go without, signal can be found 2 minutes up the road.
-
Can we drink the water from the tap?
Yes! Our water comes from the mountain above us into our well and through our filtration system. It is the most pure water you can find and a shower or bath at Mucklagh is therapy in itself.
-
What about Catering?
Mucklagh Lodge has a self catering kitchen, fully stocked with everything you need to cook for your group. Full catering recommendations are on the Resources page which we will share once booked.
-
Will we have complete privacy?
Yes. We will keep a low profile as we understand you are here to be still and do the work with your participants. If you need us for anything just ask. And yes we are used to drumming, howling, releasing etc. We won’t be shocked!
-
What do participants need to bring?
Linens, towels, hand soap & toilet rolls are provided. We advise wearing wellies/hiking boots and rain gear. It is pitch black at night so a torch is also advised.
-
How will I play music without wifi?
We have a sound system with all the necessary cables to hook up your laptop or phone. You just need to make sure you download your playlist before arriving.
-
Do you have a projector?
Yes we have a projector which we can help you setup. Please let us know in advance if you need this and what device you will be using. Download your presentation before arriving.
-
Is there parking?
Yes, there is ample free parking in the driveway for around 20 cars. Please note parking is at owners risk.
-
What is there to do at Mucklagh?
Walk the ancient forest, visit our animals and food garden, dip in the stream, hike on The Wicklow Way, star gaze, light the fire circles, forage for wild food, play games on the field, rest & be still.
